Context
I was asked to create an online video series that would engage with our patrons and their children through YouTube/Facebook. This was during the start of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Objective
Create several online videos as a trail, using only the equipment we have in-house with no additional funding. Also, create the branding for the series. Proof of concept test.
Research
A big inspiration for the branding of this series was "The Big Comfy Couch". I wanted to create a welcoming atmosphere with good visual/audio components for our patrons to watch and share with their friends and family.
Final Design
Takeaways
The process of set design, video capture, editing, graphic add-ons, and publishing turned out to be a big job for a single individual. I found that I became overwhelmed with the amount of work and how little the turnaround time was. During the initial stages, we wanted simple videos. As time went on, we wanted to up the scales with more visual features during the Storytimes so that families could follow along with ease.
